These one-of-a-kind pieces are built green with salvaged materials found in flea markets and yard sales. The furniture tends to have curvy lines with feminine features including flower appliques, corbles and vintage floral wallpapers . The colors include soft shades of pinks, greens and yellows with painted lace and girly accents. The furniture is built at just the right height for a child truly making it a piece for them.

Freddy & Petunia is a line of heirloom-quality cabinets for little girls and boys. Each of these one-of-a-kind pieces are built green with salvaged materials we find scouring flea markets to yard sales. Besides the hunt for woods and millwork, we look for all things unique, interesting—and old! Sometimes we pilfer parts off old furniture—sometimes we “repurpose” things from unexpected places, like porch spindles. And don’t forget the fun of vintage hardware and wallpapers!

Because we build with “old stuff,” anything painted is stripped (in case of lead paint,) all wood is well sanded, edges are rounded, and, where it applies, we use only new plastic-coated chicken wire.
